The Florida Department of Education has aligned all Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to the 16 clusters that have were adopted by the U.S. Department of Education, which integrates rigorous academics with relevant technical content.
Career Clusters enable students to explore several career options within a field of interest. The Business Technology Education (BTE) Career Clusters are Business, Management & Administration and Information Technology. |

FCAT |

The FCAT, administered to students in Grades 3-11, consists of criterion-referenced tests (CRT) in mathematics, reading, science, and writing, which measure student progress toward meeting the Sunshine State Standards (SSS) benchmarks |

Standards-based accountability systems hold schools accountable for their students' performance, measured against the expectations of student learning defined by content and performance standards. Schools are held accountable in many ways across the states, including the publication of "report cards" for each school, the announcement of lists of high- and low-performing schools, the awarding of extra money to schools that perform well, assistance to schools performing below expectations, and other measurements included in each state’s definition of adequate yearly progress (AYP). |
