IT 2000 is an integrated delivery system that provides students with new and challenging learning opportunities in information technology.  The modules available create an effective IT skills core program that can be expanded to address business-driven certification such as A+, Net+, MOS  or MCSE.

IT 2000 in Miami-Dade County Public Schools is divided into four learning pods.  They are:  Information Support and Services, Programming and Software Development, Network Systems, and Interactive Media.  During the first year of the program, the student goes through 16 modules (5 hours per module) at an introduction and expansion level for a total of 160 hours.  During the second year, the student can specialize in the area they like.  The IT 2000 management program keeps tract of the student's progress through the program.
