FOREWORD

This Business Department Head Manual is designed to give, in convenient form, important information about being a successful department head.  It is hoped that it will assist you in the day-to-day performance of your duties and guide you in providing leadership to all teachers in your department.

You are encouraged to make suggestions for its improvement, with the hope that as the year progresses, we will design a more complete and functional manual.  Throughout the school year, additions or corrections to this manual will be made as feasible.

It is our hope that this manual will answer any questions you may have and make your job much easier so that we can continue to prepare students today for tomorrow’s business world!
